The NEW My Sheri Crafts DESIGN TEAM!

I am so excited to announce my new DESIGN TEAM!!!

I have enlisted 5 very talented and creative women to help make this blog great! I've asked them to introduce themselves and provide a favorite project that respresents themselves.  Please help me welcome them to the My Sheri Crafts team!  I'm excited to see what they come up with!!!

  Peachy Lamb

A few facts about me: I’m an RN at night and a crafter when I’m not in my scrubs. I also spent a couple of years in college studying for my Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a major in Advertising Arts. I had to cut that period of my life short and go to graduate school instead to finish my Master in Nursing, so that I will have more options in my primary career.

Design wise, I am into Baroque Minimalism. I use a lot of jewel and metallic colors but I try not to limit myself to one style. The recipient’s preference is the most important element in whatever I make, although I do incorporate what I like into the design. Crafting in general is fun, and can be a bit frustrating, but let’s stick our attention to the fun side!

The reasons for my project choice are: it best exemplifies my preference for jewel tones, metallics and simplifying Baroque. I also like the idea of receiving messages of Hope in a mailbox.

A little about me: I'm a stay-at-home mom for 3 beautiful children, 2 daughters (8 and 7) and 1 son (20-months). I've been married to the most generous, loving, and supportive husband for almost 12 years. My mother has always encouraged crafting since I was a little girl and I love to do many different types of crafts and willing to learn more new things.

The reason this is my favorite: I used so many different things to create this simple card. It was my first project welding with Design Studio. I used silk flowers which I absolutely love... love it more than paper flowers. I hand painted glitter glue on each of the "thank you" and of course the use of bling.

Here is my bio....

I've been married to the same wonderful man for almost 30 years. Mom of 3 grown married children, and grammie of 2 newborn baby girls. I have been making cards for about 1 yr . However been scrapbooking since the late 80's. (WOW those books need to be re-done!) We enjoy traveling, which is great since 2 of our 3 children live in Europe for now! I have a blog with some of my creations and a little of my family on it. Stop by and say hi.

My Favorite Card:  This is one I made for my daughter that lives in London. I used the New Arrival Cartridge, modified the clothing by cutting off the dress shorter, getting rid of the strollers and buggy...and cutting off the heads...the purses were cut from the design on the papers. I was inspired by a craft book and with the cricut was able to make my own version.

My profile: Born in the UK, my family moved to Canada when I was a child. I've lived coast to coast, but currently call Calgary home. I'm a mother of two busy little girls, wife to Michael, and teacher to some of the best kids in the world! I try to balance life, but something's got to give, and that's usually the housework! Craft time is a favorite time for all the girls in the family, but we also like to travel to hot places in winter, and go camping in summer.

Favorite project: My favorite project is my newly completed Fairy Book for my little girls. This double layout is the best of my crafting world: Cricut cut unicorn (PDDU), and a custom made dragon (SCAL)!

Carolyn Deline

About Me:  I am a 45 yrs old, and have a 20 yr old daughter, and 18 yr old son. My dh and I live in a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada. I enjoy scrapbooking, card making and riding in our ’69 convertible with the love of my life. I love to be creative, and sometimes just wake up with the project in me, and cannot rest until I see it through. I have been scrapbooking for almost 8 yrs now, and although it is the heart of what I love to do, card making allows me to try new things, and have that feeling of accomplishment sooner. I am also a committed Christian, and work in the children’s ministry at our church. I also play piano, have raised 3 litters of golden retrievers, and overall, am very content with my life.
The favorite project is a recent card I designed...I love it because it was inspired by life...I was sitting on our couch, looking outside, when my cat jumped up and started looking out at the birds...tail swishing and making all those silly noises cats make when they see birds...and the card just came to me...luckily, I designed some sketches that week, and one of them worked perfect for the card. It's a fun, yet encouraging card to send to someone to let them know, their dreams are attainable.

Carolyn also makes wonderful Cricut covers.
